Negative MaterniT21 but positive CVS for Trisomy 18

I am currently 12 weeks, and received my CVS FISH results at 10 weeks showing moasic Trisomy 18 and final CVS results came one week later showing full Trisomy 18. While awaiting the final results we deceided to test for the MaterniT21. I received the Materni21 results this week and they are negative. We also had the 12 week NT Scan and UltraSound and all appeared normal. Currently, our doctors plan is to have weekly ultrasounds until we are able to get the ammino done at around 15 weeks. We are tyring to stay hopeful that the CVS final results are wrong or that we have confimned placenta moasism and will have a healthy baby boy but would like to learn if anyone else has experianced anything similiar. We understand that the margin of error (CVS is 1% and MaterniT21 false negative is .4%) is low on all tests but would like to hear more stories of those that fell within those margins.

    Hi,

I just joined... hoping you have received other news now? I haven't had any testing done yet (just hitting 6 weeks now)... I'm 38. I am hoping you have great news, and I am curious as to which test was wrong for you!
