    I have a small red bump above my lip it cant be herpes

    It is difficult to guess what's going on without taking a look and examining the area. Please have a doctor, dermatologist or dentist check it out?

    Just so you know, you can get herpes around the mouth area simply by touching something that has come into contact with the herpes virus. For instance, if you kiss someone who has had cold sores, or even just use lip balm that they have used. I am no expert in the field, but I wanted to keep you from discounting the idea.
