    Dr, can you plz help me I'm 30 yrs old post- menopausal had everything out. But I have really bad achne on m back but it first started it looked like huge welts, I have never had either one in my life even as a teenager I never had achne it's do painfull. All I can do is itch.

    Typically, acne is not too itchy. Thus, the itch and the fact that the lesions look like welts may mean you are not experiencing acne.

    I would suggest trying an over-the-counter anti-bacterial wash such as benzoyl peroxide cleanser (this is the active ingredient in Pro-active and many other acne systems). You can buy these washes inexpensively (many are less than $10).

    Try the wash for 10-14 days. If you are not improved by that time, I would suggest consulting a doctor.
