    shingles shot
    cardmaker posted:
I was diagnosed with shingles of the upper right side of my head the third week of November. I later developed postherptic neurolgia...which 2.5 months later I still deal with that pain. I would like to get a shingles shot but am unclear as to when I could get one. I had my immune system weakened due to treating vasculitis of the kidney adn chronic kidney disease. I will soon be on mycophenolate mofetil as treatment of the kidney condition (for 1 year) which is now in remission. I would appreciate your opinion as to when it is safe to get the vaccine,.
