    Fentanyl is used to manage moderate to severe pain, usually in people who have chronic, and it is often used when other pain medications no longer work. It is also often prescribed to those battling cancer to help manage their pain.

    The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration says fentanyl is 100 times more potent than morphine. With the recent death of Prince who died as a result of a fentanyl overdose and many others in just this last year, the potency of fentanyl is becoming undeniably clear.

    It is important that if you or a loved one is prescribed fentanyl that you take it as directed by your doctor. It could quite literally be the difference between life and death.
