My mom is in her 70's diagnosed with Thyroid not working at all. They have tried all thyroid meds including armor thyroid, and going to a compound pharmacy to have a med made with out all the fillers etc. Still extremely allergic- with a rash that gets worse each time. She took prednisone to help with reaction. The doctor seems to be at a loss, and now has not called her back for weeks now. Mom is not feeling well, and is feeling depressed. (never sick before this) I don't know what to do, I feel her getting depressed- I said I would call doc, but she now wants to wait until she has her cataracts fixed. (Its her way of dealing with depression- I feel if she waits she will continue to feel worse.) please give me advise- should I take her to an allergist??? Thanks soko28 she has hoshimotos
