    Trying to Conceive
    t1984 posted:
Hello to all. Well for starters let me let you guys know that I've been trying to conceive, but how ever it's not successful. I stopped taking my birth control last September of 2013. And for 4 whole months I had no period, but in February of this year I came on and didn't go off until my doctor prescribed me a 5 day pill to help me go off my cycle. So my cycle, I would assume is normal now. But to add to this I have Graves Disease. Which I know can give me irregular cycles. Now, what I'm wanting to know is how can I conceive with a problem like mines? Please someone help.. Thanks a lot to the people who took the time out to read this. Be Blessed.

Hi there, with what I know of with irregular cycles those women who are like that can conceive faster than those who are in regular cycles. So, do not loose hope. Let me also share here with you a site that I've been using to track my ovulation period and even with irregular cycles can also use this site. I hope this could help and good luck.

Are you on medication for your thyroid? If not, that could be causing problems TTC. What kind of bc were you on? With Depo-Provera it can take a long time for your fertility to go back to normal. After I got off bc pills, every time I ovulated, I got pregnant. Pregnant 5/2000, mc at 7 weeks in 7/2000, pregnant with DD 8/2000, pregnant with DS 10/2001 while still breastfeeding DD. Also when I had my Mirena IUD out in 2006, the doctor said it could take a couple months to get a period, but I got one after a couple days and took an OPK and had LH Surge, so I went back on bc pills. Have been TTC for 4 months now after being off the pills for about a year and I suspect I have an ovarian cyst. If your cycle is normal now, you might want to take your BBT and maybe use an OPK so you know when you're fertile and can act accordingly. If you don't appear to be ovulating, you could probably try Clomid. Good luck.
